Concepts that have grown by at least 5% (if less than 50 units).

 

 

Miramar Beach, FL-based ANOTHER BROKEN EGG CAFE (founded 1996) has increased by 14 units, from 37 to 51 (38% growth) and entered into KY, OH, and TN.  The restaurants are family/casual, specilizing in breakfast foods.  Meal periods are breakfast and lunch, with a $6-$15+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar service and average seating for about 100.  Catering and private party facilities are available.  Locations are franchised and trade in AL, CA, FL, GA, IN, KY, LA, MS, NC, OH, SC, TN and TX.

California-based FRESH JUICE BAR has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This fast casual juice/smoothie concept is open for breakfast and lunch hours, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  The stores have seating for about 40.  All locations are in CA.  

Scarborough, ME-based PORTLAND PIE CO (founded 1997) has increased by 1 unit, from 6 to 7 (17% growth).  The restaurants are fast casual pizzerias, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person price range is $4-$12+, serving beer and wine.  Limited seating and drive-thru service are available.  Trading areas are ME and NH.

Maryland Heights, MO-based HOTSHOTS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL (founded 1990) has increased by 1 unit, from 13 to 14 (8% growth).  This family/casual sports bar concept is open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  The restaurants have average seating for about 200.  Catering and banquet facilities are available.  Locations are franchised and trade in IL, MO and NC.

Iowa-based CABIN COFFEE COMPANY (founded 2002) has increased by 4 units, from 7 to 11 (57% growth) and entered into CO and GA.  This fast casual coffee shop is open for breakfast and lunch hours, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units seat about 30 and offer drive-thru service.  Trading areas are CO, GA, IA, MN and WI.  About half the units are franchised.

Austin, TX-based KERBEY LANE CAFE (founded 1980) has increased by 2 units, from 5 to 7 (40% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 100.  Catering and private party services are available.  All the restaurants are in TX.

Albuquerque, NM-based DION\’S PIZZA (founded 1978) has increased by 1 unit, from 19 to 20 (5% growth).  This quick serve pizzeria is open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units have seating for about 100 and offer catering, delivery and online ordering services.  The restaurants are located in CO, NM and TX.  We last wrote about this concept on 5/6/14 (6% growth).
